Home to blossoming cherry trees, timeless shrines and temples, and beautiful traditional architecture, Kyoto is rightfully one of the top tourist destinations in all of Japan.
With such stunning scenic beauty at almost every turn, it makes perfect sense that the city is regularly photographed by professionals and amateurs alike. One photographer has recently captured Kyoto in all its glory, and it is a magnificent sight to behold.
Leslie Taylor posted the breath-taking snap alongside a collection of photographs of the city on Reddit, and it’s understandable why her photo of the Yasaka Pagoda happened to go viral.
It showcases the famed structure upon a beautiful backdrop of colours, with the blues, pinks and oranges of the soft sunset blending perfectly. The landmark towers above all other structures in the Higashiyama District, which is remarkably quiet, adding to the aura of image.
The picturesque stone cobbled pathway leading towards Yasaka Pagoda helps to round off a truly wonderful landscape photograph that captures the beauty of Kyoto in all its glory.
