If you plan on traveling down the beautiful River Seine in Paris this summer, you won’t be forced to take just a standard boat on the water. Now you will have the opportunity to take SeaBubble out on the water, which is the very first “flying water taxi” in the world. It is scheduled to take passengers this summer on the River Seine. The SeaBubble basically carries passengers a few inches above the water rather than on it.
Alain Thébault and Anders Bringdal invented these futuristic vehicles on the water. Their vehicle was built with wings that are submerged in the water which allows the upper portion to hover, or fly. The SeaBubble was made to fit up to 5 people in it, including the driver. But if this flying water taxi becomes more popular, then bigger versions of SeaBubble are bound to be made in the future. Anyone who wants to hail this flying water taxi will need to look out for the special docks for them that exist along the River Seine. You’ll certainly recognize these docks once you see them. They’re the ones with all the futuristic white vehicles floating above the water.
The SeaBubble run on electricity so they are totally eco-friendly. They can even go up to 30 km per hour in speed. The best part is they do not create any waves on the water and they are very quiet too.
